In 2020 a group of friends wanted to give back to their local community through the game of soccer. They decided to organize a soccer tournament and use it as a fundraiser to create free soccer programs in Miami communities that lack organized soccer programs. In the second year of Basel Ball, a 4 day art infused soccer experience during Art Basel Miami, ABFC threw a free kids clinic that was led by current and former professional footballers. The clinic was led by Jordan O’brien, Robert Taylor, Lauren Sesselman, Jamia Fields, Fernando Hernandez, Darrius Marcellin, Nicole Haimes and Jen Munoz. This star studded team of coaches got to work in small group settings with kids after we cut the ribbon on the first and only interactive ball wall in Florida.
